FreeOTFE 4.71

I use OTFE (On The Fly Encryption) do encrypt a couple disks that contain sensitive data.  For example, I keep a spreadsheet that logs all my different IDs and passwords.  Norton 360 keeps my logons and passwords handy, but this gives me backup when the hard drive fails.

Easy to use, but Windows 7 requires a work around and you can only use the portable mode.   Still, it works and is reliable.

Thunderbird 3

I’ve been using Thunderbird for my email for 8-9 months now.  Thunderbird 3 has a number of features that I like such as, tabbed email and smart folders.

Musescore

Musescore is a music notation package that works extremely well considering it’s price.  I’ve been a long-time user of Finale,  but even with the academic pricing ($350) it’s tough to justify.   Musescore provides a quick and simple means of writing notation and will import midi files.
