“We did it because we wanted to see if we could — and we could!”
Three British space buffs launched a straw and paper airplane, with a camera, to 90,000 feet attached to aweather balloon. The paper plane had a 3 foot wingspan and was called PARIS (Paper Aircraft Released Into Space). I see a project for the Mechatronics Club here, with a 3 stage rocket powered by F Econo-Jet motors. It would fit in well with the 2011 Large and Dangerous Rocket Society’s (LDRS) national launch. As a side note, did you know LDRS originated in Ohio? The first LDRS event was held at Medina in 1982.
